Volvo XC90: I have a volvo xc90 2004, which is leaking oil. The PCV breather box is mounted to the block, under the intake manifold. I would have that replaced. If there is sludge in the engine, the passages going to and from the breather box may also be clogged, in which case the oil pan would need to be removed and cleaned out, but I would start with the breather box.

XC90 leak at the oil fill cap. A leak from your oil fill cap could mean that you have excess crankcase pressure and the pressure is finding its way past your old, tired oil filler cap gasket. Contained in that crankcase pressure are blowby gases (from combustion) along with hot oily vapor (which is essentially the gaseous form of oil).

2005 volvo xc90 I noticed oil leaking from front or passenger side, seal is this a two piece seal I can replace myself

2003 Volvo XC90. first had to have seals replaced for an oil lead, a few months later another oil leak; had oil trap removed. Labor for this very expensive, first had to find the problem, so I paid that labor. Then they ordered the part and had to pay the labor for repair, nearly $1,000 in labor alone.
