January jobs report: 243,000 jobs added; unemployment down to 8.3%.

  1. That is good news. Lets hope it lasts. Yesterday economist Doug Elmendorf, who is head of the Congressional Budget Office, warned that unemployement and economic growth will be worse over the next year under current laws. He predicts unemployment may rise to 9.2% and expects growth to slow to 1.1%.

I believe less people are working today then when Obama was sworn in. So we have a larger population, a smaller workforce and more unemployed.
