Maybe all these scientists who continue to say that global warming is happening don't have windows. Maybe they are so busy cooped up in their laboratories that they don't even realize it is cold outside this winter. Maybe they should spend less time doing experiments and measuring glaciers, and just stick their noses outside and they would realize that winter still exists. Maybe they should just listen to the Donald Trumps and Sean Hannitys and Rush Limbaughs and Glenn Becks, and the people like that who really understand climate science.
So what if some stubborn meteorologists are still trying to trot out their ridiculous theories that even though it is snowing the earth is still getting warmer. Some of them even suggest that the heavy snowstorms in the Eastern United States this year were caused by global warming! Doesn't that prove that these scientists are just completely lacking in common sense? I mean, if the earth is getting warmer, how could it be snowing? You don't exactly need a weatherman to know that it is snowing, do you?
So I guess we can all stop worrying about global warming now. What a relief. Of course if we have a heat wave this summer, maybe Fox News will say that those high temperatures are caused by increasing concentrations of CO2. No, I'm sure they will have another explanation for the heat. After all, they must be experts. Nobody would let a bunch of idiots go on TV and just make up stuff, would they?(National Geographic photo)

Trump has about as much science training as Gore, who got a D in his college science class.
ReplyDeleteLoved it!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Though I get your satire, you should at least add the one FACT that January of 2010 was GLOBALLY the Warmest January on record. (According to Accuweather and other crazy meterologists. That simple fact alone explains the difference between climate and weather. Yes the GLOBE is warmer and yes it still snows. Some of the global climate scenarios do in fact hypothysize that a cooler North America may be an outcome of continued warming,
ReplyDeleteAnother crazy scientist heard from. Stop trying to confuse people with the facts!
ReplyDeleteUmmm your a moron. Polar bears are drowning everyday because the sea ice is melting more and more each year. If the planet wasn't getting hotter then melting sea ice wouldn't be a problem.
ReplyDeleteActually polar bear populations are increasing because there is more food. The U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee reports:
ReplyDeleteThe U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service estimates that the polar bear population is currently at 20,000 to 25,000 bears, up from as low as 5,000-10,000 bears in the 1950s and 1960s.

And it's "you're a moron" not "your a moron."
if i may say Its all Crazy :)
ReplyDeleteThe Earth naturally heats and cools. People need to come to terms with that, and stop proclaiming that we need to buy everything 'green' and stop driving.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Anonymous. I think you are helping prove my point, which is that you really don't need to know what you are talking about to have an opinion, do you?
ReplyDeleteI provided a fact. It is up to you whether you accept that fact, or deny it and go back to what you were doing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming back Anonymous. I should explain that I have a policy of refusing to debate the issue of whether or not global warming is caused by human activity. The reasons I refuse to debate that are first of all that I am not qualified to answer that question. Second of all, I believe the question cannot be resolved by debate; it is a question of science and must be decided by a process of scientific experiment, not by debate.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, the only issue related to global warming that I am willing to debate is the issue of whether or not it is a question of science. If you think it is just a matter of opinion, then I am prepared to debate whether or not you are wrong about that.
Name Ian Mackinnon get me at facebook
ReplyDeleteSO your saying servre winters are or are not cause by global warming explain earths core tempeture droping record settin cold winters and due to a study on solar flares and solar cold spots almost sinc up perfectly to weather event s http://www.aip.org/pnu/2003/split/642-2.html theres alot more evidence out there if you look but no science is settle and global warming is losing the debate
Thanks for visiting, Ian. I am not saying whether severe winters are or are not caused by global warming. I am not a climate scientist, so I am not qualified to explain any of the factors you are mentioning. All I am saying is that the issue of whether rising temperatures are caused by human activity is an issue that must be resolved by a process of scientific experiment. And the question of whether global temperatures are in fact rising over time can be settled by measurement. These are not issues that can be resolved by debate.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that it still snows in some areas has little to do with the shrinkage of Arctic and Anarctic ice. Have you even looked at the IPCC reports? Why are you promoting the opinion that global warming (or climate change) has been disproved?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Anonymous. I have even heard that one reason we are getting more snow than usual has to do with the warming of the Arctic Ocean. Warming temperatures are causing more evaporation which produces more moisture in the air which causes more snow. But like I said, I'm no scientist. I refuse to debate the issue of what is causing global warming. I will only debate the issue of whether or not this is a question of science.
ReplyDeleteI do have to wonder, however, whatever gave you the idea that I am promoting the idea that global warming has been disproved. Did you read beyond the title of my piece? Did you read anything in my post that suggests that I think highly of Donald Trump as a scientist? Do you have a sense of humor?
Global warming is real. The Earth naturally changes temperature by itself. Is it changing because of humans? There is evidence that says NO.
